Join Us for Field Day 2010

ARES District 24 wants to invite you to join us for Field Day this coming weekend,
June 26th and 27th. This is the biggest weekend of the
year for ham radio operators where groups of hams all over the country go into the
field and operate without commercial power or infrastructure to simulate long range
radio communications during a disaster. District 24 has been planning our
Field Day site since January and we're expecting about 30 participants operating
'round the clock from Saturday at noon to Sunday noon. Setup on a 75 acre
parcel east of Kiowa, this is truly a beautiful spot on the Colorado plains.

The public is welcome and we encourage visitors to check out what Field Day and
amateur radio is all about. The District 24 Field Day site is located 19 miles
east of downtown Kiowa off Highway 86 and the GPS coordinates are 39° 15.821' N 104° 09.144' W.
For more information about Field Day visit

PARKER - Visitors to the ARESD24.org website today will see at least one new feature, the ARES D24 Twitter feed, and a new background feature, an RSS feed featuring District news.

Displayed on the left-hand side of the page, the Twitter feed will allow visitors not on Twitter to view time-sensitive updates posted by District staff. Time-critical information is important to any emergency organization, especially District 24.

The new RSS feed will enable members and visitors to keep up to date on District news featured on the ARESD24.org website.

Both features intend to make it even easier for members to stay informed about District happenings. The Colorado ARES District 24 - News feed can be syndicated to an email program such as Microsoft® Outlook, a smart phone program such as PureRSS for Android, custom browser home page, or any other RSS feed aggregator.

To add either feed directly to your chosen feed reader, use the following links:
