   <title>New District 24 Website Coming Soon!</title>
   <description>&lt;p&gt;The new ARES District 24 website will be rolling out soon!  This will cause the current RSS Feed channel to change.&amp;nbsp; Please check back with the website in the next couple days to get the new feed address.&lt;/p&gt;

   <title>Colorado EmComm Speakers Conference 2011</title>
   <description>ARES District 24 is hosting the annual Colorado Emcomm Speakers Conference on March 5&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;, 2011.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
 
The purpose of the speakers conference is to provide multiple presentations on amateur radio related 
topics that have application to emergency and disaster communications.&amp;nbsp; Last year&amp;apos;s conference 
had presentations on Emergency Power Options, Near Vertical Incident Skywave, the Military Auxiliary 
Radio System and monitoring the Colorado Digital Trunked Radio System.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

At this year&amp;apos;s conference 
you can expect an equally good set of presentations.&amp;nbsp; Plan to spend the day with us learning new 
things and gaining new information about ham radio and emergency communications.&amp;nbsp; Continue to check

   <title>Amateur Radio Serves the Public</title>
   <description>ARES District 24 Emergency Coordinator, Perry Lundquist (W6AUN) made it into this year's 10&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; issue of CQ Magazine 
(Volume 66).&amp;nbsp; In the article, &lt;i&gt;Carpe Digitum Diem: Embracing Advancing Technology in EmComm&lt;/i&gt;, Lundquist relates
how he and District 24 Training Officer Rob Rude (K0RAR) were recently able to restore communication between a worried state-side 
wife and her sea-faring husband.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

   <title>Join Us for Field Day 2010</title>
   <description>ARES District 24 wants to invite you to join us for Field Day this coming weekend, 
June 26&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; and 27&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;. &amp;nbsp;This is the biggest weekend of the 
year for ham radio operators where groups of hams all over the country go into the 
field and operate without commercial power or infrastructure to simulate long range 
radio communications during a disaster. &amp;nbsp;District 24 has been planning our 
Field Day site since January and we're expecting about 30 participants operating 
'round the clock from Saturday at noon to Sunday noon. &amp;nbsp;Setup on a 75 acre 
parcel east of Kiowa, this is truly a beautiful spot on the Colorado plains.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

The public is welcome and we encourage visitors to check out what Field Day and 
amateur radio is all about. &amp;nbsp;The District 24 Field Day site is located 19 miles 
east of downtown Kiowa off Highway 86 and the GPS coordinates are 39&amp;deg; 15.821' N 104&amp;deg; 09.144' W.

   <title>ARES District 24 Hosts Weather Spotter Training</title>

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;HIGHLANDS RANCH - Do you want to learn more about what causes severe weather and how to 
accurately report what you see?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Join us Thursday evening 4/29 at 7:00pm when ARES District 24 hosts severe weather spotter training in Parker.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;This one-evening class is taught by a National Weather Service Forecaster from the NWS Offices in Boulder.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The 
evening includes both Basic and Advanced spotter training with an emphasis on safety.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The training 
is open to the public, so be sure to join us for an informative evening.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The location of the training is the South Metro Fire Rescue Authority's Park Glenn facility,
