Goals of the Activity: Support the DCSO EOC and 2 Red Cross Shelters

Supply Wx reports to Skyview Weather

Were the Goals Accomplished? Yes
What Went Well? Initial deployment went well. Operators arrived to their assignments prior to the support team.

Assigned D24 staff member to find relief operators after the initial deployment

What Needs Improvement? Need better logistics operations. The snowstorm limited relief operators as many D-24 members were snowed in. Could have tasked other members with 4x4 vehicles to serve as a taxi service or requested DCSAR for assistance.
Lessons Learned: Have task ownership with a D-24 member on logistics.
Additional Training Needed: More Natural Disaster Training (CERT, NIMS, etc.)
General Comments: Felt D-24 responded exceptionally under these adverse conditions. Many members were stranded at their assignments passed their allotted time until relive operators arrived.
Ideas for Future Activities: Continue to participate in ARES & Served Agency excercises. Practice only will make us better.
